Description

This is a cartshed dating from the 18th century, located south of West Dean Farmhouse. It is constructed with a timber frame and weatherboarding on brick sills, featuring a brick rear wall and a tiled roof. The structure has five bays: two are open at the front, one is a garage open at the rear, and two are enclosed. The roof is half hipped. Inside, the roof includes curved braces to the ties and queen struts to the collar, along with a single tier of purlins.
