Description

The small granary at West Dean Farmhouse is an 18th-century structure used for storing threshed grain. It is timber framed and weatherboarded, resting on four 4 x 4 staddles, with a tiled roof that is half hipped. There is a door on the west side and openings on both the south and north gables. Inside, the ground floor contains bins, and there is a well opening leading to the upper level.
