Description

Yew Tree Cottage is a house built in the late 18th century, featuring English bond brickwork and a concrete tiled roof that has replaced the original thatch. The cottage is two storeys high with two bays, and a third bay was added to the right side in the mid-19th century. The original structure is symmetrical, with a central door and three-light casement windows set within segmental headed openings, although the door on the right side has been blocked. The door is boarded and has a simple timber canopy above it. There is an external stack on the left and another stack on the right, which was enclosed when the third bay was added. House No 16 is attached to the rear left corner, built in the early 19th century, but it is not of special interest.
