Description

Nos 75 to 79 Southbroom Road is a late 18th century block of three houses that stands two storeys tall with an attic. The structure is built of red brick on a brick plinth, featuring a band between the storeys. Number 79 has been stuccoed at a later date. The roof is a mansard style covered with pantiles, and there are three dormers. The building has six windows, including two false windows on the first floor and four recessed sash windows with intact glazing bars on the ground floor. Each house has three six-panel doors, with the top panels glazed, positioned to the right side. This group of houses, along with Nos 71 to 99 and The Volunteers Arms, as well as Nos 103 to 113, forms a cohesive architectural group.
