Description

Nos 9 and 10 Alfred Square is an early 19th century pair of houses that stand three storeys tall with a basement. The ground floor is finished in stucco, while the upper floors are constructed of yellow brick, topped with a cement coping. There are four sash windows with intact glazing bars. The first floor features two three-light bay windows at each end. The ground floor includes two sash windows and two round-headed doorcases, each with five-panelled doors. No 9 has two blank arcaded panels and a round-headed yard entry on the far right. Nos 9 to 13 form a group with Nos 187 and 189 Middle Street.
