Description

Nos 71 and 73 Southbroom Road are an early 19th-century pair of cottages that were formerly known as Nos 24 and 25 Southbroom Place. They are symmetrical, two-storey buildings constructed of red brick on a small brick plinth, topped with a gable end pantile roof. Each cottage features two three-light casement windows on both floors and has two recessed doors with four flush panels, two of which are glazed, all framed by moulded surrounds at the outer corners of the buildings. Nos 71 to 99 (odd), The Volunteers Arms, and Nos 103 to 113 (odd) form a group.
