Description

Wistaria Cottage is a house, originally three cottages and now comprising two dwellings, dating from the 16th and 17th centuries. It is timber-framed with a brick facade, incorporating some flint in the sills, and has a thatched roof. The building is one storey and has an attic, with three bays in total. Number 46 has two bays, and the narrower bay on its right-hand side was likely added later. The cottage has boarded doors and 2- and 3-light windows. It features two dormers and a stack between the dwellings, with a further stack added to the right gable.

The interior includes a spine beam with notched ogee stops and a shaped bracket over the firebeam, along with a roof structure featuring a clasped purlin.
