Description

Knap Cottage is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of stucco and features a tiled roof. The building is two stories high and has three bays, with a lean-to on the left side. The central bay contains a six-panel door with raised mouldings, and the upper panels are glazed. This door is sheltered by a 19th-century wooden open trellis porch. The windows are fitted with moulded timber architraves and include 19th-century four-pane and sixteen-pane sashes, many of which have crown glass. There is a canted flat-roofed bay window on the right bay. Stacks are located between each bay and on the left gable before the extension. Inside, there is a cross passage behind the main stack.
