Description

Greenway Farmhouse is a mid-18th century farmhouse constructed with rendered Flemish bond brickwork on stone sill walls and stone quoins. It features a hipped stone slate roof and is two storeys high with three bays, along with two rear wings. There are stacks located at the rear of the front rooms and laterally to the main rear wing. The central stair hall leads to an elevation of five bays, which includes late 20th century timber casement windows with glazing bars. The central entrance has a pair of doors topped with a stone hood supported by consoles, and the mouldings of the hood continue as a string course. A cavetto stone eaves moulding is present, along with a moulded stone cornice above the right side and rear windows. Inside, the front reception rooms feature dado panelling, and there is a baluster stair with a scrolled end to the handrail and moulded nosings. The right reception room includes an early 19th century moulded wood fire surround with marble inserts.
