Description
Thickthorn Farmhouse is a 17th to 18th century farmhouse that has been converted into two farm dwellings. It features a front made of coursed squared limestone and coursed limestone rubble. The roof is tiled and includes small flat-topped dormers, along with gable stacks. The building has five bays, with a central stair hall and flanking reception rooms. There is a contemporary rear wing of two bays, and the entire structure is two storeys with attics. The facade was refronted in the late 18th century and includes mid-20th century metal windows, with three-piece ashlar lintels on the ground floor and timber above. The entrance has a six-panelled and fielded door with glazed upper panels. Inside, the farmhouse features spine beams with barred and toothed checked swept stops.
