Description

Queen's Court Farmhouse is a farmhouse from the 18th century, and possibly earlier. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble, which is rendered and colourwashed on the facade. The roof is hipped and covered with stone slates, featuring dormers. The building is two stories high with an attic and has two rear extensions, which are also hipped. It has five bays, with the entrance located in the right end bay, featuring a stone-bracketed canopy over a six-panelled door. The ground and first floors have margin glazed sash windows, and there is a hollow moulded string course. There are two hipped casement dormers, and an extension to the right has 19th-century timber casement windows and a slate roof. Inside, there is a clunch stack with a timber lintel, although the roof was not seen. The farmhouse is situated on the site of an earlier moated house.
