Description

Manor House Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 15th century and 18th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble limestone and has a stone slate roof. The building features six bays and is two stories high with an attic. There is a rear wing added in 1981, which is not of special interest. The core of the farmhouse consists of two bays with raised crucks, and there are extensions at both ends from the 17th century, along with a further extension to the right in 18th century brickwork. Originally, the farmhouse had three stories, but it has been modified to two stories since the half cellar was filled and the floors were adjusted. The building includes two axial stacks and timber casement windows, along with a 20th-century porch. At the time of inspection in July 1984, the house was being divided into two separate dwellings.
