Description
Cheyney Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid to late 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a slate roof, with brick stacks at the ridge and ends. It has an L-shaped plan and is two stories high with a four-window range. There is a six-panel door located to the right of the center, which has a wooden lintel above it. The windows are primarily two-light casements on both the ground and first floors, except for a 20th-century window that has replaced a casement on the ground floor to the right; all windows have wooden lintels. At the rear right, there is a two-story wing. Inside, the farmhouse includes chamfered spine beams and an open fireplace with a chamfered bressumer. Additionally, there is a modern two-story extension at the rear.
