Description
Chilworth Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 18th century, with parts likely from the 17th century. It is constructed of limestone rubble with brick dressings and features an old plain-tile roof with brick gable stacks. The building consists of two parallel ranges that have been extended. It has two storeys plus attics and a five-window front with a brick dentil eaves course. The windows are sashes that are four panes wide, and the ground-floor windows are set under brick segmental arches. There are 20th-century roof dormers. The farmhouse has been extended with a 20th-century cross wing on the left, which now includes a former cattle shelter on the right. The rear of the building, which contains the current entrance, is made of brick but includes a double-gabled rubble section to the right of the door.
