Description
No. 23 Primrose Hill is a cottage dating from the early 18th century to the early 19th century. It is constructed of stone and features a hipped thatched roof. The building has two bays, with an additional one-bay extension facing the road, and it was likely built on common land. A mid-20th century extension is located at the rear. The entrance is situated in the left bay, which includes a blocked stone stack with an oven and a panelled side cupboard. There is a timber-framed partition separating the right-hand room. A 20th-century staircase leads to the attics. The cottage has timber casement windows and two raised dormers. Inside, the spine beams are decorated with a rough chamfer and have run-out ends.
