Description
This building is a barn located on the roadside, southwest of the Manor House, dating from the 16th century. It features a timber frame set on a raised stone sill, with early 20th-century brick infilling that has replaced the original weatherboarding. The barn has a thatched roof and consists of six bays, including a one-bay midstrey at the rear that has been divided off, and a one-and-a-half-bay extension to the south with a lean-to thatched hip. There is a pair of doors independently framed in the third bay from the left, along with later three-light timber windows that have leaded glazing. The structural timbers have been reused. The roof is supported by collar trusses with raking struts, two purlins, and windbraces, along with straight angle braces to the tie beams.
