Description

Nos 4 and 5 are 17th century cottages located in Tockenham Wick. They are timber framed with colourwashed brick infill set on a stone sill wall. The cottages feature a half hipped thatched roof with dormers and are arranged in a 1-storey and attic configuration parallel to the street. The building consists of three bays and has a lobby entry plan, with an outshut at the rear. The timber frame is two bays high, with straight corner braces on the right gable, which was the former service end. The left gable has been rebuilt in brick and includes a second stack. The windows are timber casements fitted with 20th century leaded lights.
