Description
High Crosby Farmhouse is a mid-18th century farmhouse with Flemish bond brick walls and a graduated slate roof, featuring brick chimney stacks. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. The entrance is adorned with a moulded stone surround, an ornamental frieze, and a dentilled pediment, leading to a six-panel door. The windows are set within flat-headed brick arches and have keystones. To the left, there is a single-storey, one-bay extension, with a corresponding screen wall on the right. Inside, the farmhouse retains original doors and woodwork, including panelled internal shutters and window seats, as well as simple moulded cornices and dado rails. The hall features arches over fluted pilasters, and the staircase is fitted with early 19th-century square balusters, carved tread-ends, and a ramped handrail, with architectural detailing on the landing window.
