Description

These are a pair of cottages dating from the early 19th century, situated on the east side of St Mary's Lane in Dilton Marsh. The cottages are constructed of Flemish bond brick with a pantiled roof and gabled brick stacks. They are two storeys high and feature three windows. The central portion has two segmental-headed six-panelled doors. Flanking these are two sixteen-pane sash windows with segmental heads and keystones. A two-brick dentil detail runs along the first floor. Above are three segmental-headed sixteen-pane sash windows, the rightmost of which is larger. The left return side has a two-light casement window to the first floor. The interiors have not been inspected. The cottages are listed as a well-preserved example of this type of cottage in Dilton Marsh.
