Description

This is a 17th-century cottage located on the east side of Burdett Street, Ramsbury. The building is timber framed with brick and wattle and daub infill, and has a thatched roof. It is a single-storey building with an attic, originally comprising three bays, with a central living room featuring an inglenook fireplace. The left room has an added chimney stack, and the right inner room remains as originally constructed. A single-storey extension was added to the left side in 1984. An offset timber framed and weatherboarded outbuilding, now used as a kitchen, is situated to the right. The main entrance is at the rear. The windows are timber framed, and two round windows are located in the right-hand room. Inside, there are chamfered spine beams.
