Description
No. 8 Burdett Street is a 17th-century cottage that features a timber frame with painted brick noggings and a thatched roof. The building is one storey high with an attic and consists of two bays, with a lean-to on the left side. The entrance leads into a central living room. The left gable is faced with brick and flint, and the frame is set on brick sills, with two panels on the first floor supported by corner braces. There is a four-panel door located under an open gabled 20th-century porch. The cottage has timber casement windows, and the thatched roof has a half hip on the left side, raised over an extended dormer above the central bay. A stack is located on the right gable, and the thatch extends down over a left outbuilding.
