Description

No. 131 is a 17th-century cottage located on the A31 in Hursley. It features a timber-frame structure with colourwashed brick infill and a thatched roof. The building is single storey with an attic, consisting of two bays and an outshot to the left. There is a planked door in a solid frame at the inner end of the outshot. Each bay has early 19th-century 2 or 3-light cast iron casements. Above the central bay, there is a 2-light casement in an eyebrow dormer with a tile apron below. The roof is hipped and sweeps down to the left, with a stack at each end of the ridge.
