Description

This is a cottage from the 18th century, located on the B3043 in Hursley. It is constructed of colourwashed brick with a rendered plinth and features a thatched roof. The cottage has two bays and an outshot added to the left, and it is one and a half storeys tall. A 19th-century planked door is positioned between the bays, sheltered by a rustic thatch-roofed open porch. The windows are cast iron casements with lozenge panes, arranged in two and three-light configurations within camber-headed openings. There are also two eyebrow dormers with similar casements. The roof is hipped with a ridge piece, and there is a ridge stack at the left end of the original building, which has several flues.
