Description

No. 21 Woodland Road is a cottage that dates from the 17th and 19th centuries. It is constructed with a timber frame and features whitewashed brick noggings, topped with a thatched roof. The building is single storey with an attic, but has been raised to two storeys. It has four window bays, with the framing now limited to the north bay, which consists of three panels high without corner braces. There is a glazed door in the second bay, which is sheltered by a timber flat canopy supported on brackets. The windows are timber paned casements, and the upper window in the timber framed bay was previously a flush dormer. The cottage has a central brick stack and a hipped roof. To the left, there is a 20th-century flat-roofed extension. The interior has not been seen.
