Description
Nos 24 and 26 Manor Farm Lane is a farmhouse that has been converted into two cottages. It dates from the 17th century and has been altered over time. The building is timber framed with brick noggings, while the left cottage (No 24) is faced in brick. It features a thatched roof and stands two storeys high with two bays, including a cross wing to the right that is flush with the main block. The framing consists of three panels high with corner braces. The entrance to No 24 is located in the central bay, leading to a lobby with a heated room to the left. The entrance to No 26 is in a 20th-century lean-to addition at the right end. The windows are metal casements. The roof is half hipped, featuring a 17th-century stack at the front parlour of the cross wing and another stack at the left gable, which is likely the original service end. Inside, there is a double bar stopped chamfer to the spine beam of the rear room in the cross wing.
