Description
The front garden wall and gate piers to Kestrels date from the early 18th century. They feature English bond brickwork with single weathered and throated stone copings, set on a malmstone plinth that steps down the hill. The wall runs approximately 17 meters along the road, returns across the end by 14 meters, and continues back approximately 7 meters, with an additional stretch of about 19 meters to the south-west. Limestone urn finials are located on the outermost corners. Adjacent to the house, there are two limestone gate piers, which have raised and moulded panels with a central disc motif, a stone cornice, and urn finials. The timber gate, likely from the late 19th century, features an open iron panel and iron crestings.
