Description

Easterton Manor is a house dating from 1601–1602 and again from 1651–1680. The house is timber framed with colourwashed infill panels, and incorporates a cross wing constructed of brick. It has tiled roofs. The house is two storeys high with attics, and comprises two bays with a cross wing of two bays. The timber framing is four panels high, featuring wavy corner braces and tension braces to the gable end. The gable was raised over the central bay. An oak boarded door is set within a lean-to porch, positioned against the cross passage of the cross wing. The south elevation of the cross wing features two-light stone mullioned windows with label moulds on the first floor, and a canted bay window on the ground floor. The roof was re-tiled in the later 19th century, incorporating a quarter-hip to the main range, crested ridge tiles, and clayware terminals. Brick stacks are present. The north gable retains barge boards dating to the early 17th century. The interior has not been inspected.
