Description
The milestone at High Post is an 18th-century structure made of fossiliferous limestone. It is a rectangular pillar with a slightly gabled top. The milestone features incised lettering that reads: "To Salisbury IV Miles To Marlbro XXIII." It has likely been turned around to face the current highway.
