Description

This milestone, dating from the 18th century, is made of fossiliferous limestone and features a rectangular pillar with a slightly gabled top. It has incised lettering that reads: "To / Salisbury / V / Miles / To / Marlbro / XXII." There is also a benchmark on the reverse face. The milestone is located on the west side of the Old Marlborough Road, which is now a field track.
