Description
The Village School, now used as a meeting room, was built around 1840-1860. It is constructed of buff brick and features a roof made of plain tiles, which are banded with fish-scale tiles and have crested ridges. The building has a single bay and includes an external gable stack at the north end, along with a timber-framed open porch at the south end of the west wall. There is a boarded door with a shouldered stone lintel. The west wall also has three-light stone-mullioned windows, which have shouldered heads above the lights. A similar window, but with a transom, is located on the south gable. The eaves are open, and the barge boards are plain. The interior is ceiled. This building is part of a group with Nos 1-3, The Drive.
