Description

The cider house and cartshed at Edginswell Farm, likely dating from the 18th century and altered in the 19th century, is constructed from local grey limestone, red sandstone, and cob, with a corrugated-iron roof that is hipped at the ends (previously thatched). The building is aligned on a north-west/south-east axis and is part of the south-west range of a narrow farmyard.

It is a single-storey structure. On the yard side, the building projects forward at the left end, with steps leading up to a doorway at the right end. There is one high window with a timber lintel. The roofline slopes down to the right in the center. The outer elevation features two large cart entrances on the right, each with brick segmental arched heads. To the left, a smaller doorway is flanked by windows.

Inside, the roof is concealed by insulating material, and there is a screw-action cider press, likely from the late 19th century, located in the left end section.
