Description
Shepheard's Farmhouse is a 17th-century building that was altered and extended in the early to mid-19th century. It is two storeys tall with a gable-lit attic and constructed of rubble with a stone tile roof that is half hipped to the left. The farmhouse features a very large chimney on the right-hand gable with three diagonal brick shafts.
There are three ranges of windows: on the ground floor, there are two tripartite glazing bar sashes with brick dressings and one casement window to the right, which has hollow chamfer stone mullions. The first floor has a three-light window with a wooden lintel, while the ground floor has a four-light window with a later relieving arch. Additionally, there is a small two-light mullion window in the gable end.
At the rear, there is a two-storey lean-to extension with a catslide slate roof, which includes a three-light mullion window and a large brick join and chimney flue-work.
