Description

No. 27 Turnball is a former toll-house dating from around 1814. The building is constructed of red brick with blue headers and is angled towards Hodson Road. It features two-light windows and has a central modern porch. The roof is thatched, and there is part rendered stone with one range of two-light windows. To the north, there is a long range of single-storey outbuildings that have a thatched roof, which is currently covered with corrugated iron.
