Description

May Cottage is a thatched and rendered cottage dating to 1623. It is one and a half storeys high, with a half-hipped roof. The cottage has two rendered chimneys, one bearing a datestone indicating 1623. Three eyebrow dormers each contain two casement windows. There are five assorted windows on the ground floor, mostly modern replacements. Two porches are present, one significantly larger, along with a thatched bay window added in the 1830s. A well head is located within the front garden. The cottage has a gable end facing the road, set upon a high, battered base.
