Description
Overcourts Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse that has been altered in the 19th century. It is constructed of rubble stone and features a concrete tiled roof with a hip to the right and two diagonally-set brick stacks on the rear pitch. The building is L-shaped and consists of two storeys with two windows. The central entrance has a four-panelled door framed by a moulded 19th-century surround, with a 3-light 19th-century mullioned casement window with a hoodmould on either side. On the first floor, there are two 19th-century mullioned casements with hoodmoulds, and there is a straight joint to the left of the door, while the right-hand bay is earlier. To the right, there is a two-storey 19th-century brick range with a pantiled verandah and casement windows. The rear has a parallel range with casements and a 20th-century extension to the right. The main range has 3-light mullioned casements, and the outshut at the rear of the 17th-century building features a 16-pane sash window and a 2-light chamfered mullioned casement. The interior reportedly includes chamfered beams and blocked open fireplaces.
