Description
Lower Rudgehill Farmhouse and the attached barn are a farmhouse dating from the early 17th century. The building is constructed of rubble with a triple-Roman tile roof and features two brick stacks, one of which is set on a rubble base. The farmhouse has two storeys and an attic, with a symmetrical facade of one bay on the right and one bay on the left that projects forward under a gable. It includes three and four-light ogee-moulded stone-mullioned windows with stopped labels and leaded lights, as well as a two-light mullioned window on the gable face, also under a label. There is a 20th-century metal casement window on the first floor between the bays. The door opening between the bays contains a plank door with a tile hood above it. The contiguous barn to the left has a hipped roof and features a broad door opening with plank doors, along with a smaller door opening to its right, which also has a plank door.
