Description
The Grove is a 17th-century, two-storey and attic former farmhouse, constructed from rubble and of cottage size. It features a later lean-to addition on the south side. On the first floor, there are five original two-light mullion windows, one of which has leaded panes and all have quirked corners. A chamfered string course runs above the ground floor, raised over the doorway located in the second bay from the right. The ground floor includes three original two-light mullion windows and one two-light casement window, which has a timber lintel and may have originally been a doorway, located to the left. The entrance has a modern ledged door. The roof is covered with machine tiles and there is one brick chimney off the ridge to the right. The north gable end has been altered, and the roof at the rear is partly catslide. The attic is lit by one dormer window at the rear, and there is a modern lean-to porch extension at the back.
