Description

These are 17th or early 18th century cottages, situated together on Frome Road. Number 294A is built of coursed and dressed rubble and painted, while number 296 is of nibble and also painted. Each cottage has one window on the first floor. Number 294A retains two-light mullion windows with quirked corners, and has a simple doorway on its right side. Number 296 has modern two-light casement windows within a former two-light mullion window surround, and a plain doorway on its left side. Number 294A has stone-tiled roofing, while number 296 has machine-tiled roofing. Both cottages feature brick chimneys.
