Description
Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates from the 18th century and early 19th century, built on the site of an earlier house and featuring later alterations. The structure is made of rubble without quoins and has stone dressings, a slate roof with brick gable stacks, and a double Roman tiled rear wing. It has a T-plan layout with a symmetrical front. The building is two storeys high and has three windows. The first floor features sashes with splayed heads, while the ground floor has two 16-pane sashes and a central door with glass insertions, a timber lintel, and a segmental head. There are single storey wings on each side behind a coped wall, each with a central window that has a pointed arch, Y tracery, and intersecting glazing bars. The right side of the house has a 2-light unglazed attic window with plank shutters. The rear wing is two storeys tall with four windows, all 2-light casements on the first floor. The ground floor includes a door, a 2-light casement, and a 20th-century window, all with stone segmental heads. An extension to the rear wing has a hipped roof with a door and window featuring a pointed arch, similar to those on the front. The northwest elevation of the rear wing includes a 20th-century single storey extension and a cider store to the right. The interior has not been inspected.
