Description

A 17th-century farmhouse with early 19th-century additions and later alterations, situated at Pullen's Green, near Oldbury-upon-Severn. The farmhouse is built of rubble, partly rendered to the front, with brick dressings. The front has plain tiled cladding with brick gable stacks, while the rear has pantiled and double Roman tiled roofing. It has an L-shaped layout with an early 17th-century barn attached in the angle, presenting a symmetrical facade.

The farmhouse has two storeys and three windows, each of six lights with flat mullions and transoms. Each lower section features a central casement with two panes and loop catches. There is a central plank door within a moulded frame, topped by a flat hood on brackets. A single-storey wing on the right has only the door frame remaining. The left return has a two-light attic window with four panes per light; a one-and-a-half-storey wing has two ground-floor windows, a door, and a dormer. At the rear, there is a former bakehouse with a plank and batten door and the frame of an upper window, along with a probable former kitchen block attached by a covered way supported by brick piers, incorporating a copper and pump in an open area. An attached single-storey block features a two-light casement on each side and a brick gable stack. The right return has a single-storey wing with a three-light unglazed casement with chamfered mullions and frame. The rear elevation features a small gable with a hipped roof and a two-light casement. A one-and-a-half-storey addition to the left has a first-floor two-light casement with iron stanchions and a timber lintel.

The early 19th-century barn has a cart entry, a door, and a window, along with two large first-floor loading doors and a small gable loading door, all with timber lintels. The barn has a catslide roof sloping from the main ridge to the right return, where there are three windows and a cart entry. The interior of the farmhouse was not inspected.
