Description

Vine Farmhouse is a farmhouse that was refronted in the early 19th century, with some later alterations. The building is constructed of rubble and has a rendered, pebbledashed rear. It features a brick, pantiled roof with brick gable stacks, and a double Roman tiled roof over the porch. Originally, it had a through passage plan. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has four windows, all of which are three-light casements with segmental heads, except for two ground floor windows on the right, which are two-light casements. The central gabled porch has bargeboards and triangular headed sidelights, with panelled and glass double doors set in a segmental headed moulded frame.

At the rear, there is a two-storey wing to the north and south, with a single storey 20th-century extension between them. The north side has two windows on the first floor, both of which are two-light casements with brickwork beneath the cills. The ground floor features a three-light casement and a plank and batten door with strap hinges, both topped with timber lintels. The rear of the main house has a plank door in a moulded frame with a timber lintel, and to the left, there is a small square window in a timber frame, likely providing light to a cellar. The interior is not accessible for viewing.
