Description
Holm Farm is a farmhouse dating from around 1800, with later alterations. It is built of rubble with stone dressings and features a pantiled roof with brick gable stacks. The front of the building is symmetrical and has 2½ storeys with three windows, all of which are 2-light casements with segmental heads. There are attic windows located under the eaves and a central gabled porch that has a segmental-headed opening and slits on either side. The porch contains a plank door with a glass insertion.
On the south-west elevation, there is a plank door and a window above it, both with segmental heads and ventilation louvres. The north-east elevation features a single-storey wing with a 20th-century porch. The rear of the farmhouse has a catslide roof and four ground floor windows, all with segmental heads; two are located to the left and one to the right, featuring two lights with a flat mullion and iron stanchion, while the second from the right is from the 20th century. The first floor has two openings under the eaves, including a loading door on the right and a window with ventilation louvres on the left. Inside, there is a straight stair and beams that are chamfered and stopped. The original medieval farmhouse foundations can be seen to the west of the current structure, but they are not included in this listing.
