Description
Northwick Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 19th century, likely incorporating elements from an earlier building, with later alterations. It is constructed of rubble and rendered, featuring a pantiled roof with gable stacks and a corrugated plastic roof on the rear lean-to. The farmhouse has a former through passage plan and stands two storeys high with three windows. The first floor includes a central boxed sash window, while the other windows are 16-pane boxed sashes. The entrance features a central panelled and glass door with a segmental hood supported by brackets, and there is a single-storey lean-to on the right side. The left return has a 2-light casement window on the first floor and a single-storey lean-to, while the right return features a ground floor window supported by iron stanchions and a 9-pane casement window on the first floor, also with iron stanchions, and a plinth. The rear of the building has a buttress, a small round window at ground level, and a plate-glass sash window on the first floor. The single-storey lean-to at the rear includes a 2-light casement window with iron stanchions and a timber lintel. The interior has not been inspected.
