Description

No. 12 Wellington Street is an early 19th century house in a terrace. It is located on the west side of Wellington Street in Stoke, Plymouth. The front of the house is covered in slate hanging over a plinth, and the roof is slate. There are two brick stacks at the rear. The house has a double-depth plan, with two front rooms flanking a central entrance hall or passage. It is two storeys high, with a near-symmetrical three-window front, and a doorway located to the left of centre. The windows are original 16-pane hornless sashes. The doorway is pilastered, with a moulded entablature and a panelled door. The interior was not inspected but is likely to be largely unaltered. The building is included in the listing as a complete and rare example of a small terrace house in this local architectural style.
