Description
No. 96 Durnford Street is a house located at the end of a planned terrace in Stonehouse, Plymouth. It dates from the late 18th century and features a rendered exterior that has replaced the original stucco. The house has a dry slate roof with a half-hipped end on the left side, two hipped roof dormers, and a large brick chimney stack on the right. The building has a double-depth plan with an entrance hall located behind the front room. It stands two storeys high, plus an attic over a basement, and has a two-window range. The windows are late 19th or 20th century four-pane horned sashes. There is a 20th-century glazed porch at the center of the left-hand return. The interior has not been inspected. This house is included for its group value in a planned late Georgian street.
