Description
Number 88 is a house in a terrace, built in the late 18th century with some later alterations. The front is finished in stucco, and it has a dry slate roof with a brick stack on the left side. The building has a double-depth plan, featuring a front reception room on the left and an entrance hall on the right. It is two storeys high with a basement and has a two-window range. The windows are late 19th-century horned sashes set within moulded architraves, with a keyblock on the ground-floor architrave. The entrance features a pilastered doorway topped with a triangular pediment, and there is a panelled door with reveals. The interior has not been inspected. The house has subsidiary features including a low plinth on the basement wall topped with wrought-iron railings, and there are also railings flanking the steps leading up to the doorway. This property is part of a planned late Georgian street that was laid out in 1773.
