Description
Number 10 is a house located on Ringmore Road in Shaldon, dating from the early 19th century with later 19th-century additions. The building features painted stucco and a slate roof with a stack at the left gable end. It has a double-depth plan and stands three storeys tall with a two-window range. The exterior includes incised raised surrounds with florettes at the upper corner blocks, and 6/6-pane sash windows with margin panes. There is a stone plinth and chamfered rustication at the ground floor, along with a mid-19th-century verandah supported by cast-iron trellis. To the right of the building, there is a mid-19th-century semicircular-arched panelled doorcase with radial glazing bars in the fanlight and applied vermiculated voussoirs, likely made of Coade stone. The interior has not been inspected. Attached to the front corners are rubblestone walls that extend approximately 10 meters forward to meet a low rendered wall across the front.
