Description
No. 30 Fore Street is a house that was originally built in the early 19th century and later remodeled in the late 19th century. It features painted stucco and a crested slate roof with rendered stacks at the gable ends. The building has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys tall with a symmetrical three-window arrangement. The early 19th-century design includes incised pilasters, while the late 19th-century alterations feature canted oriel windows with cast-iron cresting and plate-glass sash windows on either side of a single-light plate-glass sash window on the first floor. The late 19th-century French windows, which have small panes and Gothic glazing in the overlights, are located beside a late 19th-century enclosed glazed gabled porch that has margin panes and a half-glazed door. The interior has not been inspected.
