Description
No. 5 Beyrout Place is an end of terrace house built in the mid-19th century. It features a stucco exterior with decorative stucco details and has a roof concealed behind a stuccoed parapet, which includes a moulded and bracketed cornice. The building has a tapered corner-site plan with a canted end on the left side. It stands two storeys tall and has a symmetrical three-window front, with a splay on the left side of the canted end bay. The windows are horned sashes with glazing bars, set beneath segmental arches. The central entrance consists of a segmental-arched tripartite doorway, which is adorned with a moulded hood that projects forward. This doorway includes a fanlight, glazed sidelights, and a panelled door. Additional stucco details include a plinth, channelled rustication on the ground floor, a mid-floor band, and plain architraves on the first floor. The interior has not been inspected but is expected to be of interest. This house is part of a complete mid-19th century stucco terrace.
