II

War memorial. c1920 to those who died in World War I and later to those who died in World War II. Dressed granite column surmounted by lantern cross on stepped and moulded cruciform-plan plinth on a stepped square-on-plan base with splayed corners. Mourning figure with wreath to bottom of column and inscribed panel with relief lettering under a coat of arms to the plinth. The octagonal lantern has a moulded base and cornice and the openings have cusped tracery; moulded cap above surmounted by a chamfered Latin cross.
